Honors Requirements

To graduate with honors in Human Physiology, the following requirements must be met:

  1. Completion of all major requirements
  2. A minimum GPA of 3.5 in all human physiology courses
  3. All major courses taken for letter grade
  4. Completion of the HPHY Honors registration form with faculty signatures, filed in the Human Physiology Office, 139 Straub Hall
  5. At least three credits in HPHY 403 Thesis and/or HPHY 401 Research combined
  6. Completion of honors thesis under supervision of committee, consisting of one departmental faculty and PhD student OR additional departmental faculty OR community professional (MD, PT, OT, etc.).
  7. Signed HPHY honors completion form attesting all requirements have been met and honors commitment has been fulfilled. Deadline to email the completed form to the HPHY Undergraduate Coordinator is Monday of week 10 for inclusion in commencement programming, and last day of finals week for honors diploma designation without commencement ceremony recognition.
