Applying for your Degree

Commencement is not the same thing as graduating!  If you are finishing your degree requirements in Spring or Summer term, don't forget to apply to graduate.

  • Undergraduate students apply on Duckweb. The deadline to apply for a Spring undergraduate degree is April 28th.
  • Graduate students apply on the Division of Graduate Studies Website. The deadline to apply for a Spring graduate degree is April 12th.

Be sure to apply for the term in which you will actually finish your degree requirements.

Department Event Participation Information

The ceremony is for both graduate and undergraduate Earth Science majors.  Participants will be individually recognized for their achievement. The event will be approximately 45 minutes long, and includes department faculty.

Participants should plan to arrive at Straub Hall between 3:15 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. on June 16th.

Graduates who are planning on attending must RSVP to receive all the arrival/check in instructions.

Announcements & Regalia

Announcements and regalia (cap, gown, and tassel) can be ordered from the UO Duck Store. Regalia is welcomed, but not required.  There may be loaner gowns available through the grad-to-gown share program, or see Marla in a pinch.

Use the RSVP form to let us know about any accommodations that you or your guests might need.
